Get to know the very talented people that contribute to the ReloQuest team. Today's interview will be with George Diefenbach, VP Project Development.
George wears many hats at ReloQuest - all of which, complement his monochromatic wardrobe. A former partner in a New York advertising agency, he has won multiple American Graphic Design Awards and earned a Bachelor of Arts in advertising and visual arts. From initial concepts and visuals to implementation and training, George is a dedicated individual who considers nothing impossible.
Tell us a little about what you do at ReloQuest
I've been with ReloQuest since day one and work closely with Darin to bring his ideas to life. Much of how ReloQuest visually looks and functions has my DNA in it. And since I've helped develop the platform from the ground up, I have a unique perspective on it's inner workings - making me a perfect trainer for both Requestors and Suppliers on how to use ReloQuest. Most ReloQuest users know me as their "go-to" guy for all their "what does that button do?" questions.
What is your formula for a happy, healthy life?
Work hard and make great art. Music is a big part of my life - the energy from playing, composing or even just listening to music heightens perspective and definitely relieves stress. Whether its playing drums in my heavy metal band or composing music in my home studio, I always try to balance out my life to include time for music.
Where do you see the industry in ten years?
Today, mobile devices are more powerful than yesterday's desktop PCs. This trend will surely continue and we will see unique ways of inputing data into these devices - from photos and videos, to gestures and voice commands. I think we will also see more and more integrated AI built into software platforms. Even today, we don't ask our favorite navigation app
why it chose that route - we trust it, and just follow it. Technology as an industry moves fast, and at ReloQuest, we know when to adapt and flow with the trends - and when to lead the way.
Who is your hero and how have they impacted your life?
My brother David. Having down syndrome, he taught me how to be patient, appreciate everyday accomplishments and live by a different set of rules.
What about your life would you like to be best remembered for?
Never settling for "good enough" and always striving to be the best. There is a great line that Steve Jobs may or may not have said that goes "We’re here to put a dent in the universe. Otherwise why else even be here." Whether he said it or not, the sentiment is there, and its surely what we all strive for here at ReloQuest. We are changing the industry and putting our dent in the universe...
What do you think is the greatest invention of all time?
Hands down, its the "uncrustable" portable Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich - pure genius.
